The Gaming Café’s competitors would be DreamLab Gaming, which a global internet gaming café. Many say it has great service and inexpensive prices, along with things to do for kids and a private lot for convince purposes. The product/service that DreamLab Gaming provides is internet, PC gaming, and console gaming (which includes hundreds of games to choose from). People will purchase the Gaming Café’s goods more than that because not only do we offer a gaming experience Dungeon and Dragons we make, create, and sell the food that is based upon it. And who wouldn’t want to slay a dragon, cast spells while eating a sand which fit for a giant?
The Gaming café’s target market would be any teen (mostly boy/male) interested in gaming. Video games, PC games, Console Games, card games, or board games). Since the food is inexpensive, the general area would be rural or suburb areas… Somewhere were teens can walk or take a public transportation to. In New Orleans, Louisiana the age of teens under the age of 18 is 21.3% while most of them enrolled in high school, it would make things easier for them if the Gaming Café was somewhere located in the middle of both the high school and their homes. I would like to assume that many people over there have a love or a liking to games, no matter what type it would be. And the Gaming Café just gives them a place to buy inexpensive food while having a good time with friends and playing their favorite games. Why the age group and location is what and where it is, is because of convince. It’s a hassle to have to drive out all the way to get to where you would like to be. With putting the Gaming Café right in the middle of their homes and school they could walk to it or by it. We hope to have a better chance of gaining customers because of the ideal games that they would be able to play. We plan on reaching customers by making it big and flashy, along with passing flyers and business cards with this. Give them something to look forward when coming to visit the Gaming Café. Reaching financial goals is based on the outcome of how many customers we would have monthly/yearly. And we would use a internet based survey to see what customers like what best, and the age group to really focus more on.
My competitors have low price for the free wifi their customers receive, ours (although including the internet) will include the low priced food. We’d make the food low priced and inexpensive (all sand-whiches $3.50, pastries depending how big and how much is used to make it will range between $1.50-$2.00, sodas on their own are categorized into three separate prices. Small-$1.00 Medium-$1.35 Large-$1.70. The average list price would be 1.00-3.00 (depending on the quantity of how much you buy), and no discounts. We accept cash and visa cards… No personal checks.
We will promote the Gaming Café by commercials, fundraiser and to get the teens and kids hyped up about it... A free preview at what it would be like. Activities to promote the business would be one night free, open house for the adults, fundraisers. The marking campaign is effective because many people show up, and your business (the first few weeks) is successful. 5,000 was set aside for the marketing budget.
